IT'S NOT ABOUT FEAR
When the dog sees a piece of meat, obviously it would draw towards it. But the meat is held by a man with a stick. So, the dog is drawn to the meat but held back by the stick. The 'stick and carrot' ploy maybe referred to a version of reward and punishment. But if someone whether directly or by using another agent to consistently abuse you emotionally, and you know if you react you are going to be jumped upon then I don't think it's about fear. If anything then it's more of a street smart and calculated like a psychological game between the target and the ruler or abuser.
Why the ruler continues to deploy such psycho coercion and expects different results beats me! But it's not about that either. If someone smaller or weaker abuses you, you know it's best to walk away. It is a wise decision to walk away and it's not about fear. But the hungry dog might find it hard to control its emotions and eventually breaks out of the psychological barrier. Whether that is possible with a dog, I don't know but it might prove that hunger is not only stronger than fear, but also stronger than the stick. And there within it lies the secret of succeeding beyond the psycho barrier. The powerful hunger reaction remains raw in the subjective material desire until it's purified by the objective to become rational desire.
The hunger emotion can be anger, or fear, or attraction or all of the above in their selfish interest emotion. The material subjective aspect of hunger emotion gives rise to instinctual reactions of random acts of nature including extreme violence, abusive, submissive, sensual or even kindness. The hunger emotion is the motivation to fulfill the subjective desire by material instincts. But this hunger can be modified by purification of feelings and senses to elevate instincts into intuitive conscience awareness.
The material subjective aspect may raise emotional heights to instinctual reactions of 'random acts of nature'. But purified feelings and senses raise elevated emotions intuitive of 'conscious reaction'. You see, the subjective desire is in the sub-conscience, and by purifying feelings and senses raises the sub conscience layer into conscious intuition. That is the individual reacts randomly within the framework of principles as in knowing the right thing to do.
The sub conscious impulsion usually occurs when the reasoning mind is overwhelmed by the hunger emotion. But this is subdued when feelings raise the hunger and filter a modified version of the hunger to influence the act into achieving the right thing to do. Thus the individual is not overwhelmed.
However this raises a question of freedom in the preceding process of feelings and senses before the hunger emotions. And this is reasoned in the stripping of the material when values are detached from the fibre leaving the thin material into nothingness. As a result, the pure material alone by its linear self is caught in a limbo state of deterioration and which failed to sustain a stable reality. This is obvious evidence in a case of addiction resulting with obesity or alcohol and drug related illness. The individual is not free but subject to the demands of his/her material desires. In other words when the subjective material aspect or sub conscious layer takes over the reasoning mind, the individual is in danger of random acts of nature. Thus material subjective aspects are not free therefore invalid to merit an objective outcome or solid reality.
In process, the invalid pure linear material is strengthened by the binding value or by the practice of principle that serves an objective outcome contributed to the social organisation of society. The process quantifies the principle as the material is transcended into objective being of society. The realisation of true being identifies principles, purpose, and practice for achievement. The objective being is natural in participation of rational desires shared by other members of society. Their collective participation upholds a consensus in democratic rational choices such as social, economic, and political.
The hunger is stronger than fear but when the hunger emotion is rational, the intuitive reaction expects to be reasonable. So, subjective emotions may raise instinctual material desire and watch out for the random act, but objective emotions may raise rational desire to produce reasonable acts.
The process elevates feelings and senses over and above material instincts to be intuitive of conscience awareness. By practice you would become invisible to the abuser's motifs, but your practice and discipline of principles are now advanced to conscious intuition. It is not fear, or playing a psychological game but transcendence into being. You have risen above and beyond the reach of subjective material aspects.
Again, a question of what's right and whose principles may tarnish the process with religious innuendo but rest easy now. The principle of your ID would soon witness the outcome of your behaviour. And if your behaviour is at odds with universal rights then it is you who are being religious and not the method. As in the origin of creation from Nothingness, the principle quantified and transcended the material into being. But the individual took advantage of the principle and redirected the elements to fulfill his/her own subjective desire. As a result, the self construct developed into an extreme entity and has taken over the individual's mind and reasoning during extreme moments of need!.
Now a lot of innocent folks got caught up in this state by material indoctrination of an imposing ruler of a system in place. But the principle of repentance and forgiveness not according to anyone religion in here is the practice of forgiving your enemies, your adversaries, including your abusers. Somehow it seems the more you forgive the more they abuse, but it provides plenty of opportunities to practice principles and rise above the subjective nature as explained earlier in elsewhere. The devil rests with the subjective burden as you are free in the objective.
Exemplified by Rational Freedom, the individual can be rescued from sustained hardship by objective being during testing times rife with scapegoatism and blames of economic uncertainties of the modern secular world. The magnificence gets better through testing times as it has been proven by the ancient classics.
You could imagine the wisdom and insight of the (super) phenomenal world discovered by early Christians who have been abused, persecuted and martyred for the cause of their beliefs. They are the founders who have left behind the 'ancient landscape' for us to discover. And we could extend this phenomenon for the betterment of our humanity...
